Hiiiii Its Me Again

Featured Replies

Hi again

K this goes out ot ppl living in Phuket right now..

Id like to know what the weather is like and how it will be during the next week or so.

Hurry up im leaving saturday night n dont know what to pack :o

Cloudy, hot, humid, had a few minutes rain a few days back...

Of course this could all totaly change in the 14hrs your sat on the plane travelling over here, so as a precaution i'd suggest packing at least one wooly jumper and a pair of thick socks :o

Seriously though, its lovely weather here at the moment.

Most sunny, but some clouds here and there sometimes. The rainseason starts normally late may, but it might be some frequent rain now and then. Its getting hotter until that time too. Peak in April with 40 +..

Bikinis and beach yes please. Or in office we have aircon thank God.

lets have a beer then. Have a nice flight!

:o

It's good to plan your trip well, some don't. here are my extra tips

Peak season in Phuket is approx mid 1st Oct- mid April, after that rainy

season most days.

Humidity is low, i mean not like Dubai (i live there), and i don't think

phuket gets cold anytime, except if you are going to be riding scooter

on the up hills (No scooter= Not much fun in phuket).

I recommand hiring two motor sai taxi or a jeep and tell them to take

you around for half day each to Kamala, Surin, kao-lak, chalong area

.....they shouldn't charge more than 1000 baht for haf day (500-1000

baht is rent for a jeep full day)

Just bring light clothes for daytime and swiming. Don't forget to take two

days "discover scuba diving course" (one day in deep swiming pool is

a must for gaining experiance, and another day in a shallow water).

Thailand is ranked first in the world for diving activity.

Other things to try is:

Phuket shooting range with guns from .22MM to .90MM

Liveaaboard or daytrip to similian, phi phi,....islands

Deep sea fishing

bungy jumpy 80 meters only :D

Clubbing at thaweewong beach road and bangla road (Monitor Husband)

Shopping at The central shopping mall, and tesco lotus and pukhet town

Fantasea show and simon cabarea show

and much more...if time suffice

I was too worried about the weather n what clothes to get..

got the scare of my life last night.. we were walking back to our hotel (which is right on the beach in Patong) when sirens all over the area went on n there was ppl screaming n running and cops asking everyone on the beach to leave.. It was really frightening.. We ran for our lives along with another 2000 people up the hill. i was so confused i thought the wave was right behind us. i kept getting the video clip thought in my head the one with the people running and then the huge black wave with corpses arriving right after. It was horrible..

We met this Israeli guy Rami in the midst of all the commotion who invited us to his hotel room up on the hills and we watched the news for 3 hours. I was devastated, i thought we'd lose everything we had in the room (which was everything we owned) and that lots of people were going to die.. We couldnt even get proper news because all the channels were in thai so we didnt know WHAT was going on.

It had become a ghost town.

We finally saw people walking back in the streets and decided to cab it to our hotel, check out (at 4am) check in to our friend's hotel and leave tomorrow.

n this was supposed to be a relaxed holiday..

feel terrible though. Around 350 dead bodies have been found in indonesia but they are expecting thousands :o
