Frenchmen in Walking Street Fracas

In the early hours of Tuesday morning police were called to break up a brawl involving two French nationals and a number of Thai security guards outside the Marine Plaza hotel in the area of South Pattaya known as the Arab Quarter.

According to early reports from witnesses, the two Frenchmen had allegedly been hitting a couple of Thai females when local security guards intervened to stop the disturbance. The men, one aged 29, the other 28, turned their aggressive attentions to the security guards before police arrived on the scene.

The men were brought to Pattaya Immigration offices where their details and passport information were taken. According to officials both men will have their visas revoked and be placed on an immigration black list.

This is true in all criminal cases.

Once convicted in court they will be deported and blacklisted.

Well,I fear these kind gentlemen :o are what is called in france "new frenchmen".This mean french arabs from algeria .A lot of them in this area of the city.Always make a lot of noise :D .They come here many times a year .Making some traffic between LOS and their "home" country .(false Nike,Rolex......).

Please don't confuse them with the real french people who makes normally less disturbance here :D (except when they make belgian jokes :D )

Marine Plaza sure sounds like a nice place to go. The only thing I ever read about that place involves fighting.

For the record, I have been there

But on the news over last weekend (26/27 March) they were described as having Filipino passports - although definitely of Arab descent. Or was this two more beating up Thai women in the same area?

And the Pattaya People News said they would be deported (even though I doubt that a trial has taken place yet).
