Pattaya, October 24 [PATTAYA ONE NEWS] : Late on Friday Night, Police Lieutenant Colonel Chalermgiet from Dongtan Police Sub-Station on Jomtien Beach was called to a Pizza Restaurant located at the front of Soi Welcome Jomtien after a Norwegian Man had fallen off the balcony of a rented apartment located above the restaurant and had crashed through the roof of the restaurant. Mr. Jan Even Treche aged 45 from Norway sustained leg and upper body injuries and was clearly in an intoxicated state. He was able to explain to Police that he forgot the key to his room and decided to climb through a corridor window over to his balcony when he lost his footing and fell. He was rushed to Hospital and Police will follow up the case over the weekend.

Oh the dumb things we do that make so much sense when we are pished. Lucky for him he wasn't on the tenth floor, I hope he takes this as a warning.

But there is an issue with poor building standards, in this case I have to question the security of rooms too.

Looking at the pictures it seems that roof saved his life by slowing him down before hitting the concrete floor. He will propably be happy to pay for replacement.
