I will be back in Bangkok in Dec and will be staying in Suk Soi 4, I would like to eat noodle soup at least once a day and would like to know which are the best stalls in the Sukhumvit area, any where from Soi 1 to Soi 22 as I dont mind taking a walk.

A corner coffeshop just before Robinson Sukhumvit - great duck rice and noodles.

Get a seat before 11.30am to avoid the lunch crowd.

Best place I know of is at the corner of Sukhumvit 31, in front of a 7-11. They make a great bamii naam giaw(noodle soup with dumplings) with muu groop(roasted pork w/the crusty rind). If you go late, they will have muu dang instead of muu group. A couple thai girls told me that this is the best place to eat noodles. Open everyday except Mondays of course.

I concur. I eat there regularly, especialy when i've just fallen out of Cheap Charlies around the corner!

Having said that, the best street food on Sukhumvit is found at the 'Food Market' at Thong Lo. Soi 38.

Get off the Sky Train at Thong Lo by exit 4 and your there.
