Remembrance Day Poppy In Bangkok?

Featured Replies

Anyone seen any about, do they do them out here?

Saw one guy with one on, should've asked him but didn't...

Or is it a bit twee/culturally insensitive to wear one out here?

Cheers

Was in the Londoner for lunch on Sunday and saw them selling them in there on the bar. Some of the staff in there was wearing them too. If you want to take part in the Remembrance Day commemorations you still have time to register with the British Embassy to attend the service on November 8th in the Embassy grounds with refreshments in the Ambassadors residence garden afterwards. Here's the info on their site:

They are also available at the front gate of the UK embassy in Bangkok

Poppies are avalable at; Londoner, Bulls Head, Robin Hood, O'Reillys, Barbican, Jools, Chequers, Aussie Pub, Coyote 33, Tenderloins, Bistro 33, Queen Vic, Molly Malones and Jamesons.

I would like to thank all these venues for allowing us to place poppies in there and I hope we will cover more in Bangkok next year.

Many thanks, and please give what you can.
