That said you still can't beat Pattaya. Good news is it's a cheap and short plane ride to Pattaya from Phuket.

Pattaya is chaos and manic at best. Patong is a little more relaxed. I prefer Patong, but as already mentioned, Pattaya is not too far away, if you want a better chance to be murdered!!

Phuket's a lot better.. Actually I like it a bit better now that there are slightly less tourist...

Lets also hope that all those in the area who lost homes and loved ones and are suffering from PTS are ok too
