For the past couple of months a small group of Thai teens have been setting off cherry bombs/firecracker next to the klong on Soi 3/Sukhumvit. Some days it goes on for 6-8 hours and into the night. They sometimes even throw them near the boats as they pass. While many people are fed up with the noise, it seems there is nothing that can be done.

A visit to your nearest BIB to complain?

Strange, I've been hearing it too, but I'm on Soi 1, didn't know who/what it was.

I am also on Soi 1. From my balcony I can sometimes see them. The BIB just laughed when I tried to complain and told me to ignore it.

They are firing them off right now in rapid order!

Is it for Loy Kratong? I live miles from Suk but have also heard this sort of thing but only for the last few days. Hopefully it will be over tomorrow.

Well it is much worse today. I am amazed the boat taxi workers drivers don't come after the kids. I guess it will come to a halt one day when a passenger in the boats gets blinded or someone throws one of the kids in the klong.
