Bus From Udon To Sakon ?

Featured Replies

Hi folks. I am leaving tonight for Sakon Nakhon and i have some options. Im a little tight right now so here it is; i can take Chan Tours for 500 baht from Mochit to Udon but then are there decent buses from Udon to Sakon that I can bring a large suitcase on and not have to feel like a trogladite? If so do you know the cost and the times they leave early mornings?

Or I can take a bus with Transoprt Co. Ltd from Mochit strait to Sakon for 800 baht.

Im imagining you are all laughing and saying just pay the extra dam_n 300 baht and go strait but I guess Im just curious.

enough buses running the direct route. if you're really short, take 2nd class aircon. I like the 2nd class more than the 1st class as they dont have toilets. The regular pit stops are pretty clean and you dont have bad odor on the bus in case the "restroom" is badly serviced. Take a bottle of water with you and maybe some fruit. Dinner stop will be around Korat.

Nakon Panom buses will also gladly take you.

I think you can make it for 350 baht.

Thank you. Im 48 and a little bit uncomfortable on the second class and also Diabetic so the toilet is HUGE for me. hehehe But Chard tours can get me to Udon VIP nice bus and all for 500 baht. Was just wondering about getting from Udon to Sakon? I do have a big and heavy suitcase so was wondering if the buses running from udo would be packed with kids etc or do they have decent ones i can put my gear below etc. If so, any idea of the cost?
