Daft Or Odd Questions.

Featured Replies

Of course, we all know that there is no such thing as a stupid question, after all  everybody has to start somewhere and if they don't ask then how will they ever learn etc, however........

There are some questions that really make you wonder what the hel_l is going on and this was one of them:

My wifes Thai passport will expire in a few weeks. Does anyone know what documents etc. are required for renewal? And is it better to renew before it expires? And will they extend her current passport for another 5 years as opposed to issuing new passport?

Thanks

Why on Earth is the farang BF asking on behalf of his Thai GF when she is in her own country? I know that thaivisa is great for information such as this but I could not imagine myself back in the UK asking any person who is not British what I should do to get a new passport. Can she not pick up a telephone?.

My misses can do her own <deleted> like this and even helps me with my visas and stuff, but if she was to look at me and ask "What papers do I need for my passport" I'm likely to say. "What the bloody hel_l are you asking me for"? Likewise in England I'd be the one helping her with stuff like this.

I bit initially but edited my post afterwards. Maizefarmer, to his credit saw why I was left 'speechless' and responded in a gentlemanly manner and answered the question.

Is it just me or was it a bloody stupid question where he should be told along the lines of "Get her to find out for herself".

And yes, this is an invitation for you to post your own examples of stupid questions.

I think you are being a little harsh Mooners

A particularly dim friend of mine asked me if I learned English in school. I replied that no, I learned all my English since moving to Liverpool! :D He seemed happy with my answer. :)

I must say, for an Irish-Scouser, you're really rather good at the English language.

:)

There's a particularly brainless troll wandering the forums posting "how dumb are Thais" topics then personally attacking people who disagree with him by PM. I know that's not quite what Moonrakers means but it's still more objectionable than the occasional dumb question.

The internet is a means for a lot of people to express their ignorance, or nastiness, and all we can really do is wait for them to make a mistake and reveal their whereabouts and track them down and kill them. :)

abusive pm's scead? next time you get one please forward on to me, cheers.

Maybe, I must admit to having a few beers last night. It still does strike me as laziness or incompetence from the GF but then I am not a particularly patient person.

Mine hero Lite Beer dealt with him tout de suite.

Wasn't really suitable for a lady's eyes anyway. :)

Lets see it then!!! :D You can "spoiler" it so the ladies don't have to see it. :)

that's funny. I should get more involved. I haven't received any abusive PM's for years.

I haven't had any since the sociopathic fireman was banned.

And the man who thought he was a duck threatened to look me up in Perth.

I offered to give him my address, but he didn't get back to me.

I have never had an abusive pm.

Before we go over the line here guys and gals, please feel free to forward abusive PM's to the mods. Forum rule stuff still applies to private messages.

And please don't go "copy and pasting" private messages from other current members on the open forum, irrespective of the crap that might be in them.

How about:-

"My missus attacked me with a pok-pok stick. Do I have any remedy under British law?"

Scouse.

Scouse, ol teacup', from a 'green member' we'd expect some sort of reference point.

I mean, anybody could come up with that!
