I just bought one from Australia, cost was $2750 for the body (bout 82,000TBH) second hand, albeit in an unopened sealed box (was an unwanted prize).

No idea what prices are like out here.

theres a 24-70 in pattaya in a shop and the guy wants 33,000 said i would give him 25,000 he said no.

As the list price for the 24-70 2.8 L is 50000 in Thailand, I would say that 33000 Second hand is a very realistic price. 2nd hand lenses don't depreciate that fast at all. On average you can get around 20% off the new price, on well-established and sought-after lenses.

I was just at Capa Digi Photo in Fortune Town yesterday (Nov 22) and here are the prices for the Canon 5D MKII:

Body Only Prices:

Shop Warranty (they send to Japan) = 79,000 B

Thai Warranty = 88,000 B

With 24-105mm

Shop Warranty = 112,000 B

Thai Warranty = 125,000 B

I don't think you can find any less expensive than that in Thailand.

24 - 70 2.8 L is a superior piece of glass, especially if coupled with the 70 - 200 2.8L IS in your kit. I use both on a 1DS MK111 and they are brilliant.

well i got a bargain on a 24-70 second hand

took it to service center bangkok to be checked and servised.

nice guy there did it for free.

ended up with a 7d (for now) 49500 body only

still want 5d mk11 but then 1d mk4 sounds good to

going to be selling a couple of old cameras soon

canon 20d and 300d rebel both will be cheap.

Where did you find this price? And what warranty did it come with?

I am in the market for a 7D, and the best price (Canon Thailand Warranty) I found so far is Capa at 56000
