Red Shirt Final Push, Any Events Planned In Pattaya?

As most of you know, the Thai political situation is expected to heat up starting in a few days. I had assumed as there is no event here like an Asean conference to disrupt, that Bangkok would be the focus of these perhaps historical events (and anywhere that Abhisit visits such as Chiang Mai). I haven't heard about any planned red shirt protests in Pattaya, but I don't want to make assumptions based on that. So does anyone have info on what might be happening HERE?

Just what the poor locals need when the tourists start to arrive again. The entire country held to ransom for just one man's ambition. The director of a large hospital here in Pattaya told me yesterday that the number of foreign patients is down by 70%.

So prices up 200 percent then?

IMHO, after all hel_l broke loose during the ASIAN summit and the Red Shirts stormed both Pattaya and Bangkok, THAT was when they should have tried for a coup, if that is the goal. You don't go balls out like that, back down, then try to come back with a "final push" that won't get to 1% of the same momentum going.

In other words, they blew it. The need to give it up and go back and tend their rice fields. Doing something NOW as tourist season is kicking off, is just another dumb move in a long line of dumb moves.
