Just to let all ban Chang residents know that there is now a 2nd hand book shop in Ban Chang. It is on the street behind the strip which Kitch Friend is on. It is opposite Red Shop (towards the Sukhumvit). I believe the opening hours are 12 until 8pm and its open from Monday to Saturday.

I believe the books are priced at roughly between 180-200 Baht. If you bring the book back you get 50% off your next purchase.

The shop looks quite smart there is an area to read, there are over 1000 books. there are a number of Swedish and german books and they mainly have English fiction.

Its called Nan's bookshop and its run by Nan and her husband Peter.

I can confirm this place and location as i visited there today. Anyone familiar with central Banchang will know where the TOT office is located so its that soi as said opposite the Red Shop and Kitch friend market

I bought a book today for 160 and I saw prices as low as 120.
