November 30, 200916 yr Was wondering if anyone has bought themselves a Mazda 2 or had a drive in one for that matter, what do you reckon, any good? I have still to drag my arse to the dealer and check them out but from what I've seen they look ok.
November 30, 200916 yr No personal experience, but my kid and his fiancee in NZ bought one when they first came out. No problems with it, nothing for the dealer to fix at the 1,000km service (or was it 5,00km? can't remember). Saw one at a mall last week, it's a bit small for my tastes, but I'm used to carrying a lot of luggage with me. Nice lines to the car, though...a good looker compared to others in that category, imho.
November 30, 200916 yr Compared to honda Jazz its less engine power, only 4 speed auto, less interior space and less versatile. At the same price. It s gonna be a tough one. Looks good though.
November 30, 200916 yr Have a look at the current auto section on Bangkok Post website. They have just done a brief review of the Mazda. Appears that some folk are waiting for the new Ford Fiesta & Suzuki Swift, due in Thailand next year. I only had a quick read but Honda Jazz seems to be still tops!.
November 30, 200916 yr My sister-in-law got one 12 months ago. To be honest I couldn't get to excited about it! It's a JAFSLC (Just Another F$%king Slow Little Crapper)!
November 30, 200916 yr Suzuki Swift, due in Thailand next year Already in show-room - 1.5 auto, 100 hp Got a test-drive of Mazda 2 - don't like it Honda Jazz still the best choice in this segment
December 1, 200916 yr a bit pricey don't you guys think? Mazda is making some nice cars though. There was some sort of mazda motor show kinda thing in KL last week. They featured all their rides and the CX9 or whatever it is called looked really good but too pricey. The Mazda 6 and mazda 5 looked really nice as well but not sold in THailand.
