Looking For A 2nd Hand Fridge, Have Looked At Classifieds And Sent Inquiries

Featured Replies

I'm looking for a large-ish, new-ish fridge freezer in bkk, does anybody have one they are looking to re-home?

Thanks in advance for any leads :)

Have you tried putting a wanted ad in the Thai visa classifieds? Worked for us.

Have you tried putting a wanted ad in the Thai visa classifieds? Worked for us.

Hi, if you mean posting a wanted advert in the classifieds section then I'd prefer not to do that as you have to state a price and that's deffo not the way I want to buy something, I want the person selling to tell me the price then I can think about it :)

Thanks for your suggestion though :D

If it was unnecessary to enter a price I probably would post an ad, I thought asking in the general forum might yeild some results, anyhow, Mackro has an end of year sale so I'm going to have a look there(probably be increased prices, knowing Thailand and especially Mackro :D )

Just put $0 or $1 people will realise, as I have said it worked for us, after all that is why the classifieds are there.

i have such a fridge; both largish and newish

i moved and its just sitting in our store room now

When doing rentals, I depreciate a Bt8,000 fridge to a Bt2,000 resale value in 12 months. For sure, you might get someone to pay more but even clean, looked after and relatively new, people are not going to pay top dollar for a second hand fridge. Also, I would not.

Unless you find someone offering one at a decent price, say 25% to 33% of new price, then it is probably better to swallow the relatively small extra cost and buy a new one. Similarly, walk away if they don't have the original receipt if supposedly still within the guarantee period.

I bought the last ones in BigC, Samsung, on offer and down from about Bt12,000 to around Bt8,000. Regular offers at HomePro, HomeWorks and the like all the time.
