Pattaya, December 3 [PATTAYA ONE NEWS] : On Thursday Afternoon we were invited to the Haven bar located in Soi LK Metro, just off Soi Beokeow to report on a suspected case of theft worth over 1 Million Baht. We met Mr. Ian Devine from Australia who is offering a reward of 20,000 Baht for information leading to the capture of Khun Pornsiri aged 30 who is accused of stealing money and valuables from a safe, totaling over 1 Million Baht. The alleged theft took place at the Lollipop Bar located in Soi Honey Inn and we were informed that the Australian owner of the bar was also robbed by the suspect. A further reward of 100,000 Baht is being offered if information is received which leads to the recovery of the cash and valuables. According to Mr. Devine, the suspect is thought to have stolen the key to the safe which was kept in the Bar Owners room. An arrest warrant dated 19th November 2009 and issued by the Pattaya Provincial Court states the case is being overseen by Police Lieutenant Colonel Anan from Pattaya Police Station. If you can offer any information regarding the suspected thief, Khun Pornsiri, who originates from Chonburi District, please call Ray on 085 692 1474.

Well, my first thoughts are..."that must really suck for those guys."

Then, my intuition tells me that if this lady has somewhere to go outside Pattaya, she was there minutes after this happend. That is an enormous amount to live on, sensibly, for a good while. If she was to make it up North without the news following her and she was to keep her mouth shut, it would be very difficult to track her down. However, as my wife just commented, people like that are oftentimes involved in gambling, drugs, Thai boyfriend, etc. and the money won't last long.

Hope they have her ID where she worked, the Thai cops are good at this stuff if they have details of her home town address as we all know thats where she will be

Yes, it would be helpful, but a lot depends on the police investigators working on the case. Like buying a used car, sometimes you get a good one, sometimes you get a lemon. My hopes are that the case is resolved successfully and the men do not lose too much.
