I get a letter from my broker every year confirming my pension. I have used this together with a Letter from the British Embassy which I got nearly 10 years ago with no problems getting my retirement visa extension. . But the last time I was told I had to get a stamp on the embassy letter to re-validate it. I live 5 hours from Bangkok!! (Luckily I had 800k in the Bank and used this to get my retirement visa extension). Will the embassy stamp the letter or do I have to get a new one every year? They charged me a ridiculous fee last time.

Immigration now wants you to provide a new letter each year. Not sure if teh embassy will re-validate the letter and how much they will charge for it.

I just visited Myanmar at the Mae Sai crossing. I have a 1 year multiple entry O-A Visa. When I returned they extended my VISA one full year without my asking or any documentation, fees of any kind. My original was to expire in March now I have a VISA that is good until Nov 2010. I have no idea if this is policy or chance.

That is normal for a multi entry non immigrant OA visa - one year from date of entry on any entry. You need to watch the use before date however as once the one year from date of issue expires any later entry will require a re-entry permit for return to keep your then current permitted to stay until date.

Holding a multiple entry Non OA visa, each time you enter the country you will get new 12 month permission to stay stamp whilst your visa is valid. Do a border run just before your visa expires and you will get further 12 months permission to stay, stretching your visa to 2 years. Note that if you leave the Kingdom after your visa has expired you will need to obtain a re-entry permit to keep your then current permission to stay alive.
