Vintage Car Rally In Hau Hin

Featured Replies

Has anyone been to the vintage car rally in Hua Hin? I was at the motor show today and was given a brochure for the rally. Looking it up on the web it seems to be a 220km parade around Hua Hin. Has anyone attended this event? I don't have a classic car but would like to take some photos but I've never been to Hua Hin before. Is there an area where all the cars meet before the start of the parade? Is the parade route accessible on foot?

When is the car rally on? I have seen some pics of previous runs some nice classics but dont expect a big turn out i think may be 50 at the most by memory. The roads in Thailand dont actually lend themselves to classic cars let alone new ones for that matter.... :) cheers from another car lover...BEEB BEEB...

I've been asking myself this question for many years. This is a big annual event, usually held over HM the King's birthday weekend, but has never had ANY decent advance publicity. All I ever see is the photo feature in the B.Post afterwards.

About as well promoted and accessible as the annual steam-hauled train from Bkk to Kanchanaburi, usually held over the same period.

I'm beginning to think both events are 'closed shops'.

Try the English editor/owner of the Hua Hin Observer. He is sure to know and is very helpful.
