Doi Tung / Doi Chang Coffee

Featured Replies

am after a few bags of the stuff, can anyone recommend a place that sells it within the city please?

Pretty sure Rim Ping do it

Yup, Rim Ping definitely seen it there, but never bought it. Is it that much better than cheaper brands of Thai-produced coffee?

Lots of small coffee shops around Chiang mai will sell you the beans or already ground.Their under the counter. Try a cup and just ask if you like the taste. We buy ours, from of all places the Tesco food court at Hang Dong, where a girl has a small stand and sells excellent local, brewed coffee. She is happy to sell in bulk. Would be surprised if there would not be several merchants at Worowat Market too

If Doi Chang is the one that is sold in the round, colorful, brown cans then they definately have it at Rimping and also at Warrarot Market. I got some as a gift once and I also bought it once at Rimping. It sure is good but much more expensive than almost any other coffee.

Doi Tung have a branch on Nimmenhemin Rd opposite the Amari Rincome hotel. They have an extensive range of coffee available. Great Java it is too.. :)

Can anyone quote prices per kilo for 5 to 10 kilo order?? would like to buy some good local java as gifts.

I roast green coffee beans Chang Dao as a hobby. I wonder if people would pay for home grown fresh roasted coffee to order.

Why don't you go to their website and ask them - that's why they have a website :)

And yes it's bloody great coffee

Hi StevieH.

When locating this coffee, either on the web or in the actual bean/ground, just be aware that the accurate spelling is DOI CHAANG Coffee.

Don't let it confuse you. I could be wrong, but I don't think there is a Doi Chang coffee.

Last bought some on the Chiang Rai Road. Yes, it's good stuff.

Cheers.

Richard.....may I ask what your roasting process is?? and how much per kilo in a 5-10k lot??

Doi Chaang can be found close to the front entrance of Wat Phrasing and also on the 1st floor of Airport Plaza. They are also in the Room Complex at the traffic light on Nimmanhemin Rd. I pay slightly less than 300 baht per 1/4 kilo.
