New Year's Resolution

Featured Replies

This year . . .

I'd like to be a better person. . . not feeling that great about myself looking back over the last year.

What 'first step' advice would you give to start me off?

(I don't want to join any religious/self help/guru/ type group.)

David

Learning to be silent and calm when having a one way heated discussion with the Thai misses instead of wishing to wring her bloody neck cus she aint talking...then we can both sit for hours in silence and be happy together :)

Make big / massive money.... sell my white virgin farang bottom on line for one night only... :D

Stop googling w3.mict.go.th banned websites :D always waiting for a knock at the door from the BiB... "scuse me sir can we check your laptop :D "

Every year I have the same resolutions: quit smoking and drinking :)

Improve my spoken Thai, read atleast one book a month, wear a crash helmet and dine out more instead of chucking the loot over a bar!

I have an easy one, have kept it for years. Drink two drinks a day (one large Leo counts), no more, no less. Yes, I am boring.

One large Leo counts as one or two?

"I'd like to be a better person. . . " May suggest don't take anything you read on TV too seriously then :)

Another nail in the coffin on Thai Visa

:)

I tkae it the OP wants constructive suggestions, not people putting a line in the sand for their own resolutions...

So here's my suggestions...

Don't try to do too much. In fact, do nothing. and here's when to do it -

Think before acting or speaking. Think again.

Pause before answering. Ask yourself, do I need to answer?

Save and review before sending emails or posts

That's my advice.

Do As I Say, Not As I Do

I am absolutely resolute not to have any resolution for next year.

Too many resolutions turn me into a antisocial being, which i am already w/out any effort.

What i can say,i don't drink(not too much)

I don't smoke(not too much)

And i don't fool around(not too much)

I try to be nice as well(not too much)

And i forgive my enemies too(not too much)

So i will postpone any resolution indefinitely. :)

Sadly, it counts as two.

Difficult one David

Perhaps think on the following......

'if you steal my reputation, you're robbing me of something that doesn't make you richer, but makes me much poorer.' OTHELLO

:)

Don't look back.

Forge ahead and forget the past.

Consider how you can change your life in the future, be positive, don`t dwindle on things or become caught up in a void, which is easy to do in Thailand.
