M42 To Nikon Dslr Lens Adaptor

Featured Replies

As mentioned in an earlier Thread I have just bought a Nikon D90 DSLR camera.

Many years ago I was a mad keen nature photographer and have some rather specialised lenses for the Pentax screw mount cameras I used back then - e.g. a 1,000 mm f8 (not a mirror lens - catadioptic sp? the beast is actuallly 1 metre long) and a 135 - 600 mm f6.7 zoom lens.

Now that I have more leisure time again I intend going back to my old hobby and want to try these lenses with the new camera (I am well aware that auto-focus etc. will not work and I'll need to go full manual or aperture priority etc..).

Can anyone suggest where I might buy an Adaptor - with a correcting lens to focus to infinity - here in Bangkok, I guess one would cost a few hundred Baht so it is a small outlay even if the results are poor. (I have seen them on eBay but can't really be bothered with the hassle of buying and importing through Thai Customs etc.)

not sure but you can give a try to the shops in chinatown, is a small building with many photography shops, most of them deal with old cameras and new too. I can't remember the place name but you should find it easily, should be located in chalean krung intersection, right behind that kind of underground market.
