My company has just extended my work permit for the agreed duration of 3 months. Although I do not have to pay for this they made a point of telling me how expensive it was.

My question is;

What is the real price for an extension as charged by immigration, not the cost that, may or may not, be charged by an agent.

It's 750 Baht per quarter (3 months) or 3000 Baht for the year plus the application fee which I believe has gone up from 100 baht to 500 baht recently. There has been talk of increasing to 10,000 annual but fortunately hasn't taken hold yet.

BTW, that charge for WP is through the labor department not immigration. If extending your visa for work, then that is 1900 Baht.

Application fee of 100 baht has/is in process of going up to 600 baht (not 500). Further changes to work permit regulations are expected with imminent changes to the Foreign Business Act.

Yes, I should have referred to the labour dept.

Anyways, the price you have mentioned is a far cry from the THB 50K the company told me they were having to pay.
