Hi,

in Europe it is very common for skilled IT people to set up a 1 person company and work as consultants for big companies.

This has nice advantages for them: very high salary and easy to change jobs.

Is this also used in Thailand? For example in Thai banks?

you need a work permit. Th strings attached are (among others) that you need a co.,Ltd. with 3 shareholders, 2 Mio capital and 4 Thais working for you.

Search this forum and you will find heaps of advise.

I understood technology and finance jobs are on the exception list for those conditions... So the government can/will skip the condition of having 4 Thai employees.

Or do I get that wrong?
