New Model Dmax

Featured Replies

hi all

looking to buy anew 2door 4x4 isuzu truck just wonderd if anyone has heard if they are replacing the current model in the near future

cheers

They don't make a 2 door 4 wheel drive any more (only 4 door). In fact I'm not sure why but it seems the only 4x4 you can get these days is a 4 door regardless of manufacture. :D Very hard to figure as there is a massive market potential with the farming community. :)

Is this only restricted to Thailand ??

Seems Australia gets a single cab 4x4.

Aussie Dmax

Of course they will bring out a new model....or is that facelifted old model....enhanced model....improved model....what ever!

How about a Chevrolet? Supposedly just a re-branded Isuzu. I don't know about new, but on the second hand market they tend to be cheaper than the Isuzu.

Uh-huh. I was thinking of picking up a 2 year old Chevy for just that reason - If I can find a 4x4.

Colorado is same same Dmax, just different badges.

Nope 4 wheel drive is only available in the four door version. I just was down at the dealer (cash in hand) so I can say that as a fact. Interestingly Mitsubishi also has a picture of an extra cab 4x4 on their site but also NOT available in Thailand (for 2010 anyway). Nissan same story. Unfortunately the trend seems to be 2 wheel drive trucks lifted to look like the four wheel i.e. pre runner, high lander, triton plus and the new Nissan. :)

Yes but what about service? :)

Having never purchased either of them new i cant really comment on who provides the better/worse service.

on paper Chevy has better service with 24 hour roadside

in reality the huge number of Izu dealers/servicecenters is an advantage

Dmax is 7-8 years old as model by now, presently running the "Platinum" series. Huge investments are being made in a new engine line, new auto line and new body tools, all assisted by BOI (since GM is out of funds). Probably november /december 2010

Yeah I noticed that sticker on the windscreen of my Colorado.

Anyone ever had the need to call it ??
