Hi all,

My boyfriend is in the Uk on a Family Visit visa and will return to Thailand at the end of February. When he returns he will be applying for either a marriage settlement or a fiancee visa (we have applied for a COA but it has not yet come back so unsure if we will be able to marry in the UK on this visit).

I have a couple of questions:

1.I am self-employed with an average earning of £1200.00 per month. My contracts are very reliable, I have been working for the companies as an employee for many years but only recently (summer 09) set up my own business under which I continue to work for them. Will I need to give details of the companies I do work for or will my bank statments showing my regular income be enough? I am worried that bein self-employed will go against my boyfriends visa as it could be seen to not be stable (even though my business is very stable as I had previously been working for the companies already prior to becoming self-employed). Should I get letters from the businesses I work for confirming they will be using my services for the forseeable future or is this unecessary?

2.At the moment we are staying with my mum but after my boyfriend leaves I am moving into a shared house which my step-father owns. I will have a tenancy agreement in my name and my step-father will write a letter giving permission for my boyfriend to live there with me when he returns to the UK. Will this satisfy the ECO? and would i need any more proof like a copy of his mortgage? I will not have any proof of address there as I will have only just moved in when my boyfriend applies but I am hoping a tenancy agreement will surfice?

Any advice appreciated. Thanks guys, this forum is so helpful, doubt my boyfriend would be in the UK now without the info i've read on here.
