All I know is that mountain and beach in the same sentence sounds wrong :)

:) The sentence isn't wrong but "house near Hua Hin". The village "The mountain beach village" if about 60 km to the south of Hua Hin and if you wish a quiet place you get more then this. I can only consult go first have a "good" look, next big shops are in Pran Buri or Kui Buri. If you haven't seen, you find in google "mountain beach village" but be careful there have also in Florida USA. Go thailandmbv.com
