Where are you looking for a lawyer, Bangkok, Chiang Mai, etc?

Thanks for getting back to me . Im actually in the U.K but need an english speaking divorce lawyer to help me with obtaining my original marriage certificate from Thailand . I need someone who is reliable and honest . Thanks ...

If the certificate is lost you need to get one from the amphur where you were married, that will probably require a police report. For that you don't necessarily need a lawyer, a power of attorney to a friend will be enough. Unless you want to get it from your (ex)wife, as one of the certificates is yours and must be returned to the amphur when you divorce.

You still didn't give a place where you want to find a lawyer. Normally I recommend Isaanlawyers/Thailawonline, they have an excellent reputation regarding family law issues. But they are based in the Isaan.

Another option is to have a look at your embassy website, many embassies have a list of lawyers who speak English.
