Germany (2 weeks own program therefore much flexibility ) plus one or two other countries.

Given the fact that EURO is DOWN,

could make more sense to book in Europe rather from here ??

You'd be better off to by a plane ticket to Germany, rent a car, and explore the region on your own.

Railbookers looks very helpful. Did not figured out how to start a trip from e.g. Cologne, all seem to leave from London.

You mention LH , guess their business class is too expensive. Do they offer combination of flights plus stay? Or why is LH your choice??
