I just notice at times near the bottom of the page it shows guests present at times..

Since OTB & Bedlam is restricted to members with xxx posts ...how is that possible?

Is it that a mod present shows up as a guest?

Yes I forget what the restriction is but, I think it was you need 500 posts to gain entry...I think

They are spider bots and you do not requre 500 posts necessarily to enter Bedlam

What is Bedlam?

Bedlam is a more relaxed part of Thaivisa.com forums, where a member who has achieved 500 posts automatically gains access. The idea is that the rules are still in place but the Administrators and Moderators will be more lenient with applying them. Posts that are not strictly Thailand related can be posted here, posts with a slightly more adult (grown up) nature are allowed (but be sensible), Its a place where humor and banter is accepted. A place where the community can share and discuss topics which don't fit in the rest of Thaivisa.com

Hmmmm. The spiderbots theory didn't gel because you DO have to have a 500 post status to gain entry....and cdnvic's explanation makes sense, I suppose (even though I did not know you could time-out)..... however, when there is one guest in the subforum OTB, why is "he" always in the thread I'm reading, no matter which thread, even an old one?????????

It does seem odd that the single guest in the forum is always in the thread I'm reading.

Further to my paranoia.....I've noticed that sometimes there is no "members browsing this forum" or "members reading this thread" list near the bottom of the page.
