The Gazette Guide for 2010 goes on sale this morning. With contact details on thousands of businesses throughout the Andaman region, the new edition is priced at just 50 baht.

PHUKET: -- The 2010 edition of the Gazette Guide, (Phuket's ‘yellow pages’), goes on sale across the island and in major cities throughout Thailand this morning. Printed on traditional telephone book paper this year, the new directory contains even more information than last year, yet is half the weight of the 2009 edition.

It's significantly lighter in price, too – 50 baht vs 120 baht last year.

A list of our retailers in Phuket, Phang-nga, Khaolak, Krabi, Koh Samui, Pattaya, Hua Hin, Chiangmai, Chiangrai and Bangkok is available here.

Bulk orders (for hotels, guest houses, apartments, travel agencies, clubs, associations, large company offices, etc) are available at substantial discounts. Orders for 20 or more copies of the book are delivered free of charge. For details, contact Guide(at)PhuketGazette.Net or telephone Khun Ja-Ja on 076-236555.

The new Directory also boasts almanac-type information on tides, Thai units of weight & measures (including land), calendars, embassy and consulate details, maps, emergency contact numbers and other information indispensable for foreigners living in Phuket and elsewhere in the Andaman region.

Shouldn't the title of this thread be "Phuket Gazette Launches The Phuket Gazette Guide for 2010"?

- just in case anyone thinks this is a government published telephone book.

Except I don't think the government publishes telephone books, they all seem to come from the private sector.
