BANGKOK: -- Reports indicate that a train has derailed at the Hua Lamphong Station after a passenger walked onto the tracks. No injuries have been reported. Officials are on site to deal with the situation.

Wow, you'd have to be pretty big to derail a train...

Seriously though, the rail accidents of the past few months have indicated a real downturn in the safety levels here. I enjoy train trips, (and I'd like to try the Kanchanaburi tour sometime), but I'm not going anywhere near them until the SRT does something about this.

Nice photoshop skills. Would like to know how you do that.

That news report above leaves me with more question marks after I read it than before. It looks ok as a user comment, but as an article it needs so much more.

In the Thairath they're saying there were no passengers on the train at the time and it happened 1/2 Km from Hualomphong station. Apparently it was only a minor derailment with just a wheel coming slightly off the track.
