Bbc Newscaster Breaks Down Laughing

Featured Replies

Oops..hope it didnt get her the sack! Actually i was hoping it to be a video. Love seeing newspeople trying to keep a straight face about something.

Sometimes, when you get the giggles there is nothing that you can do about it and the more you try to stop, the worse it gets.

OMG..that guy must have lost his job for sure! Poor guy, he just couldnt keep the laughter in. I gotta say though, even if not professional, I can really see why he cant cope with it all.

..erm..what is up with that guys voice anyway? Is it something medical? ..Then comes along mr super deep voice just to stick a nail in the coffin. Bloody ell! xD

That TV presenter was one of the funniest things that I've ever seen. The way that he is the only one who is laughing and the squeaky voiced one is getting all pissed off and then the 2nd guy sounds almost as funny as the first one. I am in my shop and I freaked all the customers out because I could not stop laughing either!

It was certainly contagious. Not quite hilarious....but I could not hold back either.

Were you laughing at the anchor's laughter (catching it from him), or at the same thing he was laughing at?

A bit of both for me.

Contagious laughter is a wonderful thing.

Some 'funny' links come up when you watch that clip Harcourt.

Do you mean "funny" as in odd, suspicious? If so...can the mods remove it please.

I just googled "Indian laugh club" and selected the one that mentioned John Cleese. I viewed the clip, no probs.

Well, both funny ha ha, and a bit odd. Not suspicious at all, and certainly not needing to be removed. Have a look and you'll see what I mean...

A bit of both for me.

Mostly his reaction, but those two guys voices made it even funnier - and the way the fellow he was laughing at and the other members of the panel all got so offended and stern.

You've just gotta feel for this guy:

At first it looked genuine by the way the guy was laughing - difficult to fake that sort of laughter - but as it went on it became a bit far-fetched by the way not one single audience member could see the funny side of it.

These sorts of situations are funniest when the person with the fit of the giggles is just managing to hold it in - as soon as they let go it it all out it just becomes a person laughing.

Anyway, sorry for over-analyising. Enjoyed both clips. Love to see some more...

I actually discovered earlier from another forum that it is a sketch from a comedy show. Still bloody funny though and very good acting.

Some stand up comics have a wonderful talent for making people laugh. Two people can tell exactly the same joke and one will make you laugh and the other person will leave you cold. I had a dear departed friend who always told jokes at our fishing outings. John had a lovely way of telling a joke, and even when we heard it before and knew the punchline, we would still always laugh. John could have made it as a professional stand up up comic, but he was an oil man and musician. I really miss him.

Reminds me of Mike Willesee that time he was p!shed on his current affairs show (for those Ozzies who are old enough to remember)... He couldn't stop himself from this inane (drunken) giggle.
