Danish Tourist and Thai Woman arrested in Child Prostitution case

PATTAYA: -- On Sunday, officers from the Human Trafficking Crime Suppression Unit, acting on arrest warrant number 157/2553 dated 22nd January 2010, arrested a woman, suspected of providing children to customers who would pay her in exchange for sexual services from them. The target, Khun Amonrat aged 32 was located and appeared to be in the process of sending a girl to a customer. Police hung back and waited for the transaction to take place and followed the suspect and the young girl to the SN Apartments on Pattaya Third Road. The two made their way to room number 509 and as soon as the suspect left the room she was arrested. Inside the room was a girl aged 14 and Mr. Michael Borch-Jenson aged 43 from Denmark who confirmed that he had not touched the girl in any way but had ordered her from the suspect for the purposes of engaging in sexual acts. He was arrested and along with the main target was taken to Pattaya Police Station where charges relating to this case and a previous case stated on the arrest warrant were brought against Khun Amonrat and Mr. Jenson was also charged with offences relating to his admission that he had asked Khun Amonrat to provide the girl for the purposes of engaging in sexual acts with her.
