The Lack of a reply to this question i will take as a NO.

I was looking to rent a family vehicle for a week next month from a decent company.

Taxis will probally be best if what i've heared about hire car company's is true. :)

Both AVIS and Budget are represented in HuaHin.

Why don't you rent a minibus with driver. There are lots of them. You pay i fixed price per day for the car and the driver and then you pay for the diesel.

I have rented from Budget a number of times in the past.

I always had decent vehicles and excellent service. They are located near the Grand Hotel, a short distance south of the town center.

They are not the cheapest, but you won't have to worry about insurance.

I rented a 7 Seater (Hyundai H1) from Biz Car Rental. This was from their Airport branch but I am pretty sure they have a branch in Hua Hin. They were reasonably priced and I did not have any trouble with them. This company used to be europcar apparently.

We always use Thai Rent A Car never had a problem , decent vehicles , excellent rates , very helpful staff, their staff in Hua Hin are brilliant and their one way rental deals are good too :)

Hi

Look at carhirehuahin.com this site lists all the car hire company's recommended by Thailand Tourism Office near the clock tower. There are about 10 company's, see the lists of websites and telephone number's.

I have used 3 of them now as I am a frequent visitor from Bangkok.
