A while back I learned that there are no street stalls in Bangkok on Mondays. This was for the most part true at the time.

Now it seems on certain Mondays there is no exception at all, business as usual all around (or so it appears). On other Mondays just a few are open. Is there a set rule on how this works?

I'm interested in the food stalls in particular, trying to plan my meals.

ben, why not ask your street seller what the deal is - perhaps he can deliver on those monday's he is closed.

Are you saying TV has a no street seller members

:)

But I have noticed the same, seems like the rules get relaxed when they feel like it, like naked in Nana and Cowboy and noisy on Walking street

So I've heard anyway

:D

there is probably a rule but no logic.

i think the original idea was for them to close on mondays so someone could clean the streets.

much like we have witnessed recently with the relaying of the bricks on the sidewalk - let's not do it in the middle of the night because nobody will see us doing it - and we won't ge credit for it.

Maybe the rats are going hungry on Mondays
