Hi,

Someone is looking for consultation from a specialist to check their chances of attaining a UK tourist visa. I have seen the rules, not in detail. This person wants to pay a specialist for a professional consultation. Can any of you recommend anyone in Bangkok that offers this service, prefferably someone who you have personal knowledge of being good.

A visa adviser, agent, whatever can only offer advice on preparing the application, what documents are required and what to expect at any interview.

You should be careful about using an 'agent' or an immigration adviser as they cannot issue visas, or influence the outcome of your application. There have been cases where agents and immigration advisers have given people poor advice and overcharged them.

You've done the right thing in asking for recommendations, but even the best and most honest agent cannot guarantee success.

Personally I don't think the guy has much chance. I do not want to post any details about him here. He is willing to pay an agent a fair price to figure out if he has a chance, or what he needs to do to better his chances. The agent needs to speak Thai.

I was looking for any agents advertising but there were very few.

The problem you face is sorting the wheat from the chaff. Most agencies are cowboys who don't have the foggiest about UK immigration law.
