Long time ago now :D

PS

Have returned 2 times per year and love the country and people,

Wish I could find a way to live in LOS :D .maybe "ONE DAY" :D

Now waiting for my Thai Wife's Visa Interview (09 08 2005) :D

Excellent, but, get a smoking floor if you smoke, cos going all the way down to stand out the front of the hotel is a pain in the arse.

Had my brother, wife and some friends stay on a package from UK a couple of years ago and was impressed.

3 nights in Hong kong, then A.A for another 3 nights and finally 7 at the Regency in Hua-Hin/Cha-Am and all inclusive including direct flights and transfers for £500.

Nice BIG rooms with good security and smashing pool.Mingles (the pub...nig-noi peng)but they were on Hols so £...M.P.Rai.

I was staying at the Honey at the time :o

Amari Hotels are pretty good and ideal for family.

Not counting the Amari Airport hotel there are three Amari's in bangkok. The Atrium is probably the most remote of the three. The other Amari on petchburi is the Watergate which is situated near to Panthip plaza, again a good quality hotel, but with a few more things to do and see within walking distance. The last one is the Boulevard which is on Sukhumvit soi 5, opposite Foodland, which is ideal for when family visit, as they can walk around, find familiar restraunts and the markets stalls, which means you can leave them to themselves. Only downside is it is fairly close to Nana plaza, so in the evenings you get a lot of girls walking around.

Some of my friends stayed there, nice enough, but when you want a Taxi, go find one on the road. The hotel has a deal with some drivers who don't like to use the meter :o and their cars are crappy!

OK - no problems with it, but there are many nicer hotels in Bangkok in the same price range.
