I would appreciate some information ,

My wife is Submitting her 47SP application on Tuesday 24th , and i am wondering if anyone can tell me how long before she will get a interview and if successful a visa .

Also when should she get her medical and police check ???

Should she wait untill advised or go ahead and get them done after she submits the visa application .

Any advice or information will be appreciated

My Fiancee waited 8 weeks for an interview as did one of my mates that married in Bangkok. However my sweetheart got her medical and Police check done before she went for her interview and l believe if you have every thing complete it will speed up the process, she had her interview 2 weeks ago so just waiting now.

Good luck and just be patient our Embassy in Bangkok works very slowly as does the goverment offices in Australia. :o

get the medical and police clearance before you lodge your visa application - it will speed things up a bit. Just remember that you need an official form from the embassy to get the police clearance. For the medical just go to BNH hospital, tell them you need medical for Aussie visa, they will proceess it and send it to the Oz embassy. That's what we did without any problems.

Make sure you have ALL documents/letters that are written in Thai translated AND certified at Chaeng Wattana Consular offices. If you want to wait for those - 800 Baht per page(!!!!) or go back a couple of days later - 200 Baht per page.

Good luck!

Brubo1, this is good stuff. Could I ask, how long from the time your missus submitted the application to when the visa (I assume Fiance) to be issued?

Also with the Embassy form for Police check, is this in English and do we just take it to a Police Station (can you suggest one close to the Visa Centre) and it's done on the spot. Or did this also take some time as well. How much?

In terms of evidence as well, I have been told my missus should get the following translated and certified:

(a) Tobian Barn (house certificate)

(:o Ghard Aidee (ID card)

© Birth Certificate

(e) Police Report (if it's not already in English)

Thanks for your advice.
