My parents will be coming from the UK in July, both elderley and for her birthday I will take her to raffles in Singapore (something she has always wanted to do).

Anyway we will fly on the Monday morning and return on the Tuesday evening. I would like to avoid a taxi for the 4 of us and would rather drive to the airport myself. has anyone done this and parked their car for about 40 hours?

What is the cost? should i just leave it in short stay? where is the long stay? is it secure?

thanks in advance

Park in short stay at terminal. Rates are:

* 25 baht for the first hour

* After that, fees will be 50 baht for two hours

* 80 baht for three hours

* 110 baht for four hours

* 145 baht for five hours

* 180 baht for six hours

* Maximum fee for 24-hour parking will be 250 baht.

The long term parking is located across the street from bus terminal which is a couple km from air terminal. Requires using shuttle bus to connect between the two. Cost is in the 150-180 baht range for 24 hours I think.

Don’t bother with long-term parking it is very incontinent to get from and to airport. Extra cost is worth parking in short-term parking

The parking next to the terminal is 250 baht per day and has a covered roof.

The long term parking I tried once and will never use again. It was about 140 baht per day. But You have to wait for the shuttle bus and there is like 10 stops picking up airport employees before it gets to the terminal. On the way back is a headache. Another 10 stops but you have to change shuttle buses at the bus terminal before it arrives at the parking lot.

The parking lot is the first stop of the route while the bus terminal is the last. So from the terminal to the bus terminal the bus parks so you have to take another bus that is starting its route to the parking lot or you can run across the road through the swamp with 2 20kg bags a carry on and your laptop. Just getting the bags on and off the shuttle buses are a pain in itself.

It is. It is far from the terminal so you are likely to need a pee going there and there are no conveniencies on route! :D
