Nong Khai Hotel - Is It Ok?

Featured Replies

Hi....we are travelling to Nong Khai in May and found this small hotel/guest house which looks ok (Baan Mae Rim Nam), but I cant find any reviews on it. Does anyone know if its a good choice of accommodation, and if the location is ok (in terms of being central to most things).

Ive sent an email to them via their on-line form but havent yet had a reply so Im not sure if they still exist? If it does it appears to be on the Mekong.

Thanks

Try calling them.....

Jeeeez!

Thanks for your help!!!!!!

It's great. I stayed there recently and the rooms and service were perfect, wonderful location too.

Not sure about their reliability with email bookings as i was a walk in, but I guess you could call and book ahead for that time.

Have you looked to see if they are registered on Asiarooms/Agoda or the like. If so, you can read the customer reviews then.

Good luck

It's new, it's clean, it's at the river side, it's at the promenade, small shops and restaurants at the same road, close to the Tha Sadeth Market, close to shops and banks, close to the OTOP shop, close to everything, no stories about short time rent, and it is not expensive. Tuktuks available all day. Bicycle and motorcycle for rent at close range. A good idea ! Haven't been there but I drink my coffee close to that location.

Thanks so much everyone, really appreciate your 'inside knowledge'.

I'll give them a call tomorrow now that I know they're ok. Didnt want to call and lock in a reservation if it was a terrible place. We were thinking of walking in but havent been to Nong Khai before so didnt want to chance that we get there late and they're booked out.

Downstairs is the cafetaria from Swiss Rolf and his Thai wife Kan. My daily cups of coffee ! Closed Sunday.

See you there.
