Il give you a brief history of me and my problem. Im 24 Im married to my thai wife 23, Im currently back home in England now and working, I live with my parents, and I want to bring my wife over.

Were expecting a child in October and so I have a few questions. Iv been told by scouser that living with my parents isnt a problem. I would need them to write a letter and show there bank details that they can support us there and that its not a problem for them to do that.

I was wondering how much money they want to see in my bank account, and how many wage slips I should bing to interview?

Are interviews still 3 months waiting time and can they issue wife with a visa on the same day?

Also when baby is born, how can I get the baby a British passport from here, that way I dont need a visa for baby.

Thanks for any help anybody can give me on this!

Westybrook,

If you're working, you don't have to supply your parents' finacial details unless you think your wages are insufficient for the purposes of looking after your wife. Generally speaking, just being employed will be enough to satisfy the visa officer unless you have a lot of other committments. You should supply your last 6 months' bank statements and 3 months' wage slips. If you've not been in the job for 3 months then get a letter off your employer stating when you started working and how much money you earn. The whole process can take as long as 3 months but if they decide to issue the visa on papers then it will be only a few weeks. When the child is born your wife will need to register the birth at, and obtain a British passport from, the British embassy in Bangkok. You may be able to do this from the UK but I advise speaking to your local registrar in order to establish whether this is possible.

Best of luck,

Scouse.
