hi all

i am very new to this but have been silently sitting on the sides reading all your excellent posts but i have a few questions ?

i have recently submitted my thai wifes visa application but upon her hearing nothing after 2 and a half weeks ( no letter ) i called the embassy and they told me my wifes date and time for the interview.

1. now she has no letter will she be allowed to attend the enbassy on this day without it ?

2. will me phoneing the embassy have flagged up a problem and them look into my wifes application further.

3. i will be attendend the interview with her ( although i realise i cant go in ) are they going to bring this point up that she never recieved the letter and i had to call the embassy ?

i am now very worried by the whole affair as we only have 11 weeks now until the interview ( sorry to go on as i know everyone goes through this ) i presume this is completely normal ?

any thoughts on these would be appreciated

I don't think you have prejudiced your case in any way whatsoever by phoning the embassy and making these enquiries.

We had the same problem,

Application made 25th April, We waited 2 weeks then my Wife telephoned the British Embassy and was given Date of Interview 9th August 4 days later received Letter to confirm, they had posted letter to wrong address!!

LONG TIME TO WAIT but I know they are very busy,

Now just have to be patient or at least try

Unfortunately she will be going on her own as I can not gain further time away from work but I will send "Up Dates" of Wages, E-Mails etc
