I did read it. It was not very convincing.

The article did allude to the high ideal of future global safety. But global welfare and the future are two concepts far too alien for some of the more parochial people to consider.

It's totally fair because it shows they haven't contributed anything to civilized society during a period when the rest of the world has done some remarkable things. I don't think there is anything wrong with reducing them either. As you say, we'll still have enough to do the job. The naive parts are Obama thinking he can makes nukes obsolete and that telling our enemies that we won't use the nukes we have. The likelihood that the US will "need" to use them as just increased by Obama encouraging our enemies to attack without fear of retaliation. Thanks Barry!
