Northern Mariana Islands

Featured Replies

I remember reading an old thread about one guy took his Thai girlfriend to Saipan and she didn't need a visa. Can anyone confirm me this? I did a search and I got this

NORTHERN MARIANA ISLANDS (MP)

Passport (must be valid for at least 60 days after date of

intended departure) required.

Visa (Visitor Entry Permit) required.

However, if holding U.S. entry visa:

visa not required for a max. stay of 30 days, provided U.S.

visa:

- is valid for 60 days from entry date into CNMI; and

- allows re-entry back into the U.S.A. on departure.

Visitor must hold:

- documents and ticket for onward or return journey;

- sufficient funds (min. of USD 100.- per day or proof of

valid credit card).

Non-compliance with the entry regulations results in fines of

USD 5,000.- for the carrier and deportation of passenger at

carrier's expense.

I do have a US visa so it's not really a problem for me but I may go with a friend who doesn't.

TV member mgnewman is the man you are looking for. He spent a lot of time living there. If you look for the current "Korat Webcam" thread you can link to his homepage which had a lot of good information about Saipan.
