ROWDY Rio Ferdinand landed in trouble yet again when a bunch of footballers sprayed a hotel guest with a fire extinguisher yesterday.

The England defender could face an assault charge after he joined pals in knocking on room doors at 2.30am — and dousing occupants with foam when they answered.

September 1997: He was banned from the road for a year for drink-driving.

April 2002: Banned again, this time six months for speeding, and fined £2,500.

June 2000: Dropped from England’s Euro 2000 squad after filming a sordid boozy orgy in Cyprus with girl fans and other players including Kieron Dyer.

Dec 2003: Given an eight-month ban from football for “forgetting” to take FA drugs test.

April 2005: At the centre of a police inquiry into claims a photographer was assaulted.

Sept 2001: Fined by Chelsea for insulting US tourists days after 9/11 tragedy. Jan 2002: Fined two weeks’ wages after being charged over incident at London nightclub.

Oct 2003: Quizzed over alleged sex assault in Leeds.

Nov 2003: Charged with rape, case later dropped

And he thinks he's worth 140 grand a week

I am glad United have dug there heels in, although even $100K a week is a ludicrous amount of money. Sell him he is a liability. And a very, very ugly one at that!
