There's lots of membership programs throughout Thailand, some of which are pretty cool.

I think it would be nice to get an updated, summarized list of some of the better programs out there.

I'll be doing research and adding posts that give SUMMARIZED details.

I'm going to try and stay focused on memberships and cards that provide quick return on investment.

I'll be using a format like the following:

[Hotel,Organization Name]

* Summarized benefit #1

* Summarized benefit #2

* Summarized benefit #3

etc..

so it's easy to quickly browse the posts.

If people want to jump in and post, please do!

I'd appreciate it if you used a similar structured format to make the thread easy to browse!

I was in Witch's Tavern a while back and they had an insane program.

It was posted on the wall on a piece of paper...

I ended up talking with them for a while about it.

Will get details and edit/update this post.

I have discussed the gold card program with staff at the Shangri-La, Bangkok.

Details are not on their website.

Apparently they are launching a new program and will send me details at which point I will add an entry.

ugh! it sucks you can't edit old posts.

I get why you can't but, it sucks for this type of thread :)

Because I always want to go back and modify, improve my program summaries.. but after a short while, cannot.

so - forgive mistakes, plz - like Mariott with one t! (fixed, Crossy :D )

Also the Starwood program is for multiple hotels, etc.

this is more work than you'd think and eternal editing would have been nice!

Chaophya Park Hotel

Platinum Card

(3,800 THB)

  • 15% discount on food at all Chaophya Park Hotel food and beverage (F&:) outlets.
  • 2 free buffets at any F&B outlet with a buffet or one free buffet for 3 persons at the Kao Tom Buffet
  • 1 free nights stay in a superior room
  • 50% discount for accommodation in Bangkok and Koh Samui (50% off what? doesn't specify best rates)
  • 4 dinner gift vouchers for 500 THB a piece - must come in groups of 4 or more to one of the following outlets: Garden Court, Mori Grill, Kao Tom Buffet, Park Cafe, or Al Massimo
  • Various other smaller benefits..

This does not seem like a very competitive program, in my opinion.

Other programs offer up to 50% off dining and don't cost much more than this.

The 50% off accomodation might be nice, but, you never quickly know what type of rate the original price really was...
