The late Tony Kelsey-Stead will next week be remembered by his many friends in Phuket.

PHUKET: -- In memory of former Phuket resident Tony Kelsey-Stead, who died last week in England, friends and colleagues have arranged two memorial events on the island.

The first, organized by The Andaman Players theater group, will feature a free show at The Green Man pub in Chalong at 6:30 pm on Sunday May 2.

The performance will feature acts and songs from their latest show 'LOVE is a 4 letter word'.

Although the show is free, donations will be welcome for Tony’s partner Fon, who is herself now in hospital.

The second event, to be held at Friendship Beach in Rawai on Tuesday May 4, will feature a musical tribute by the many musicians who have played with Tony.

The Groove Doctors will open the show, which will feature an open stage jam.

A buffet will also be available.

Anyone who knew Tony is invited to attend and share in each or both of the events.

  • 2 weeks later...

Its so wonderful that money is being raised for his partner, Fon, that he met in a bar a couple of years ago - a few months after he retired here with his wife of nearly 30 years.

Tony had many good qualities and they need to be remembered, his 'partner - Fon', less so....

Yes, I am his wife.

Meanwhile, his friends decided his 'devoted partner' of 2 years needed to be invited to his memorial services, not his wife of 30 years.....
