I just wonder, how Thai People will feel today, (most of whom are devout buddhists), when they turn on their TV and see their Supreme Patriarch, who is more than 90 years old, being moved from the hospital today? The same hospital, that was invaded by over 100 Red demonstrators before. The same hospital, that has to put up with all the noise and commotion, of the Red demostrators outside, day after day, night after night.

Before some of you Red Apologists start shouting about Government Propaganda, think first... what if it was your father, your grandfather or your daughter, in that hospital... Right next to a demostration, that has turned violent on several occations. Wouldn't you be concerned for him or her? Wouldn't you move him or her, if you safely could do so and could afford to do so?

I could think of all kinds of scenarious, that could seriously endanger the patients in that hospital, as a direct or indirect result of the demonstrations.

I believe that it was referring to her visit to Chulalongkorn Hospital --- She is heavily involved with the Red Cross and Chula is a Red Cross hospital.

As for the searching of a UDD leader Suporn Atthawong's room by the officials from the Department of Special Investigation, and found bomb triggers, bullets and documents, Mr Jatuporn said Mr Suporn had affirmed that there was never be any armed in his room.

Therefore, he was not sure that it was set up by the authorities or not as the searching was carried while Mr Suporn was not present. The DSI raided Mr Suporn's room to arrest him as he was earlier issued an arrest warrant. (TNA)

Patients have been evacuated from a hospital in the Thai capital, Bangkok, after anti-government demonstrators forced their way into the grounds.

The red-shirts, looking for soldiers they thought were hiding there, later apologised for the incident.

In a TV address, Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva has said he will not tolerate further violence by the reds, but gave no indication of any planned action.

Nope. Absolute sense. One side behaving appallingly followed by the other side behaving appallingly. What none of them seem to realise is that, due to modern technology, they are doing this sh1t in a media glare 1000x, nay, 1,000000 brighter than a few years ago.

With all the military on the street it would be a good time to revise the police's employment contract. Am sure they would all jump at the chance to sign a contract which states their salaries will be doubled (they are really under paid) and that any police officer or commander disobeying lawful order will be immediately suspended until the charge can be proven and then fired.

After the April 10 clashes red protesters barged into another hospital and stole the corpses of two of the individuals killed on that day. They took them put them in coffins and drove around the streets of Bangkok.

Even if the evacuation of the hospital was in part politically motivated and done for public relations purposes, not to say that it was, I don't think the reds have any grounds to complain. It is certainly no more theatrical than their mock funeral which made a spectacle of those who died.

If the reds want to wage a war for public opinion the other side is justified to fight back. The reds have certainly given enough ammo to help the government win the war for the hearts and minds of the people.

Are the police under paid, or are they paid under the table? Yes they are underpaid which encourages them to supplement their income.

I for one thought at the time that the takeover of the airport and Got buildings by the yellows was terrible but the leaders have now been charged and await their day in court. But that is behind us now and to try to use it as some sort of justification for what the reds are doing now is just stupidity.

Seems to me it is only a matter of a short time before the first of the brave leaders makes a run for it, but who will be the first. My money’s on Big Mac he has already shown he has the potential, then a week or so after the first defection only Sae deang and his band of brothers will be left to defend the cause. Soon after that we will see how many of his followers really want to be in a box alongside their glorious leader.

Moving the patients out was the correct thing and probably should have been done sooner, consider if the tyre barrier were to catch fire how do you think the smoke would affect the hospital patients, come to think of it, it would probably kill half those hiding behind it.

On a lighter note; as the reds have been in the habit of producing videos to show “we didn’t do it” I wonder when the video of them not invading the hospital and getting shot at by the soldiers they didn’t find there will come out? Could take a bit of editing that one.
