Safe To Drive Bkk To Hua Hin?

Folks

thinking of driving to hua hin from Bangkok with wife and kid(2 yr old). Have been in Thailan for 6 months and just wondering if the road from bkk to hua hin is at all affected by the current unrest in terms of checkpoints etc that could be an issue.

The road to Hua Hin is not affected, and you will have no problem with the checkpoints, they are not looking for farangs so they waive you straight though.
