June 9, 200520 yr My wife and I are flying to Tianjin PRC via Hongkong. We thought we would take the opportunity to sight see Hong Kong for a couple of days. Can any one recommend an agent/all inclusive package? Thanks.
June 9, 200520 yr TV Air at Silom (Near Soi 15) has a good Hotel/Air package (Avoid TV Air branches at Emporium and Central Chidlom - rude and unhelpful staff)

Bunch of arrogant bustards. There are too many other hungry travel agents in Bangkok who are price competitve and helpful to put up with this lot.
June 10, 200520 yr It is my understanding that TV Air at Emporioum and Central are franchises and individually managed. May explain why the Silom branch operates more satisfactorily.
June 10, 200520 yr I concur! Only use TV air on Silom. The first lady as you walk in the door is great. Decent English and very helpful! I have used her for several years and whe even gives me follow up phone calls regarding waitlists and cheaper deals! Emporium TV Air have no time for anyone. I honestly think is that they have too much walk in traffic from people just asking nonsense questions and not book anything. Good luck!

Good luck! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I am thinking of making a trip to Hong Kong in November from Bangkok for a few days with Thai lady friend. I am wondering if it is wiser to go on a package rather than booking flights and hotels seperately. About how much notice it is wise to give to be sure of flights? I have never been in HG so I would greatly appreciate any advise.
July 25, 200520 yr cheap flites to HKG abound, dont be trapped into AirAsia: it flies to Macao=3 hrs by fast ferry away! Decent airls like EK, GF, fly daily and others every other day, fares from 6000 bt return or so, book say 2-3 weeks advacne (EXCEpt main hols). ask at agent (and infact, any agent will do, dont travel all town for a recd.) what hotels they do/what it cost and then decide: a package wont be anything else as those 2 together anyway. I guess its also much cheaper to buy the 2nd tix in HKG< but then you cannot let it till last min: order advance via a HKG based agent.
