How Is The Crowd In Hua Hin Now?

Featured Replies

We are stuck in a "li(f)e fire zone" here in Bangkok (Soi Rangnam) , but we may have an opportunity to leave tomorrow. We're thinking of heading to Hua Hin until the danger in our neighborhood passes. Could somone please comment on the situation in Hua Hin now - hotel occupancies, traffic, protest problems, problems getting from Bangkok TO Hua Hin. Thanks for your advice.

was in Hua Hin last week and it was pretty much a ghost town. On the beach at 0900 - near the Hilton and Sofitel - and not one beach umbrella/chair being rented. Plenty of hotels had vacancies.

No protests at present in Cha am or Hua Hin. The mini Bus normally goes from victory Monument But is leaing from just outside the Blockade so not recommended , although a few of the mini firms in Cha am are closed the last few days or you need to check with them if they are going to Bangkok. Buses go from the South Terminal aBout every 30 minutes or so and take 3 hours. You can also get the train from Hualumpong 5 hours or a Bangkok taxi approx 2,200 which is the easist way. Plenty of hotels starting at 500 upwards. Weekends are still Busy with Thais But the last few weeks is really dead with foreigners. Gotta Be a Better place to Be at the moment for you.

Its been a bit quiet lately in Hua Hin. That said, weekends can be mobbed with Thai tourists and traffic in town is definitely getting heavier every year. Major construction continues and there are a lot more folks moving here.
